UPDATE: Cellmate Main Suspect After Man Found Beaten to Death

ABILENE, TX – More information has been revealed about the current homicide investigation inside the French Robertson Prison Unit in Abilene.

On the night of March 30, Quinton Maxwell Thompson, 35, was found dead in his prison cell. New information has revealed that Thompson suffered injuries that were consistent with blunt force trauma.

After guards found Thompson, his cell mate George Badillo, Jr., 32, was restrained and forcefully removed from the cell. The Deputy Inspector General with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Joe Buttitta was called in to investigate what they are calling a homicide.

According to Buttitta, the preliminary autopsy report is in, but it does not list Thompson's cause of death. The report is also missing the toxicology and histology report which according to KTXS could take another four to six weeks.

Badillo is being held in the prison and once the investigation is complete prison prosecutors will determine if charges will be pressed against him. Badillo was in the middle of an eight year sentence for evading arrest and theft. His cellmate Thompson was in the prison for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in which he received a life sentence.

George just saved Texas about $880,00 based on another 40 years incarceration at the current rate of approx. $22,000 per year. That doesn't include court and legal costs he'd incur should he appeal a few times.
Now the state will spend thousands to prosecute the man who cut spending...... ironically.

Their was a reason he had to do what he did.
He was going to get out soon and still had to do it.
Quinton was a big problem. Maybe not just to George but others.
Like Cajun said, he did the state a big favor. $

Hey monkey watch out for that tree...maybe we should start a gofundme for George and the state can donate half the savings or better yet someone dox George and get his TDC# I want to send him a care package for a job well done.

Better to be released, kick in some doors, get shot in the face?.....sooner the better.
