Buyers Raise Almost $1 million at 2019 Premium Sale

SAN ANGELO, TX -- 4-H and FFA stock show exhibitors work hard year round for one thing; to make the premium sale at a major stock show.

They spend thousand of hours growing and grooming and training steers, goats, barrows and lambs for the San Angelo Stock Show.

Thousands bring animals to the show, but only the best of the best make the premium sale.

The Premium Sale for the San Angelo Stocks Show is Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Gandy Ink show barn.

The San Angelo Stock Show is one of the top stock shows in the nation and organizers expect to set a record amount of money raised for champion exhibitors this year.

Four categories of show animals qualify for the premium sale.  Future Farmers of America and 4-H exhibitors work all year raising, feeding, grooming and training market steers, market goats, market barrows and market lambs for the San Angelo Stock Show because the premiums are so high.  Premiums from the stock show are used for college tuition or to purchase new animals for next year's stock show season.

So who's the best of the best at the San Angelo Stock Show in 2019?

These youngsters are:
