Mother Arrested For DWI After Rollover Crash Ejected Her 5-year-old Daughter

 

EARLY, TX – A woman has been arrested for driving while intoxicated and other charges after rolling a truck twice causing her daughter to be ejected Tuesday morning.

Kimberly Nethery, 31, was driving down U.S. 377 in Early taking her daughter to school when she failed to veer right where the highway splits. She lost control of the truck and it rolled over twice. During the rollover, Nethery's daughter five-year-old daughter was ejected from the vehicle. The girl was not in a car seat.

According to Early Police, Nethery's daughter was flown to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth with serious injuries in an air ambulance helicopter.

Nethery failed the field sobriety test, and her blood is being sent to the DPS office for analysis.

Nethery was charged with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under 15, driving while license invalid, Failure to maintain financial responsibility, and unrestraint of a child in a vehicle.

Police said the incident happened at 7:40 p.m. but the woman told police she thought it was 7:40 a.m.
