ABILENE, TX-- A women has been arrested for having $200,000 in cash, 184 hydrocodone pills and 36 lbs of marijuana hidden in her child's bedroom closet.
Abilene Police were dispatched to 31-year-old Kayla Prentice's house to question her on the smell of marijuana coming out of her house.
Prentice told police that she had cancer, so she had been smoking. She then showed the police what was a fake California medical marijuana card and told them that if they left she would give them her personal stash.
The officers then obtained a search warrant and began searching the house. In the refrigerator there was 7 oz of THC in many of forms such as powders, creams, oils, candies, and pretzels.
They then continued throughout the rest of the house and when they got to the closet of Prentice's elementary school aged child they found 36 lbs of marijuana.
In Prentice's bedroom they found 184 hydrocodone pills, individually packaged marijuana, $154,785, an electronic money counter, and a hand-written drug ledger. They also had discovered that she had a safe deposit box in a bank in Tuscola.
When they went to the bank, employee's of the bank told them in August that she was in the cannabis industry. They recovered $66,250 from the bank.
Prentice is facing charges related to felony trafficking of THC but has not been taking into custody. Prentice also had a friend with her when the officers searched the house, and was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

She probably lives near a school, and will say the confidential informant never went to her house, like in Angelo city.

PermalinkJust making a living peddling a little grass. But I see the benefits of self employment with unreported income, she lives a poor meager life with no income, so she also probably receives food stamps and other freebees.
