JONES COUNTY, TX-- A man was killed Friday when two 18-wheelers crashed into his car as it was being loaded onto a tow truck.
Local law enforcement was called out to a crash on Friday evening on on Highway 92, west of Hwy 277, near Stamford.
According to KTXS. a tow truck company employee, David Pickrell, was on its way to tow the broken down vehicle when he saw the gruesome accident.
Pickrell stated that two 18-wheelers failed to obey the state's "move over law" when they hit and killed a man.
The law states that motorists must move over a lane or slowdown when certain vehicles – including police, fire, EMS, TxDOT vehicles and tow trucks – are stopped on the side of the road with emergency lights flashing.
The victims name has yet to be released.

Matt missed a couple of key points. First, David Pickrell owns Pickrell towing based out of Sweetwater. Secondly, one 18 wheeler hit the Pickrell tow vehicle ( a flatbed with only 10 wheels). So David was not only a witness, he was a victim as well. He's very lucky to be alive.
