New Seafood Restaurant to Take Over Old Peppercorn Grill Location

SAN ANGELO, TX-- With the Peppercorn Grill moving to Grape Creek, a vacant building has been sitting at 2715 Sherwood Way.

It will be vacant no more, according to management with The Boat Oyster Bar and Grill.

Crews are currently working to renovate the building. They were initially targeting an October opening, but have been forced to shoot for an opening sometime in November.

Originally based in Kerrville, The Boat, Oyster Bar and Grill boasts a wide variety of seafood, burgers and more. Their seafood is "the best the inland has to offer," according to their Facebook page.

They also advertise karaoke and live music for their Kerrville location, which overlooks the Guadalupe River.

I hope it is decent seafood and not a frill joint. As is we have to travel to Fort Worth , Austin or San Antonio to get decent seafood at a real seafood restaurant. Yep the price of rent/lease has doomed more than a few food joints here.

From the reviews of the one in Kerrville on Yelp, I'm not especially encouraged, but one location may be a major improvement over the other. Only time and appetites will tell......
