SAN ANGELO, TX -- While hundreds of Ted Cruz supporters crowded Miss Hattie's Restaurant downtown Thursday evening, a handful of Beto O'Rourke supporters protested outside.

Local TEA Party activist Ginger Moore waded into the liberal protesters and posed for pictures.

Senator Cruz is campaigning across west Texas today and was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd in downtown San Angelo.

Cruz and O'Rourke are locked in a tight race for U.S. Senate.
