San Angelo Woman Fatally Stabbed in Lubbock

 

LUBBOCK, TX -- A San Angelo woman was allegedly stabbed to death in Lubbock last week and her former boyfriend has been arrested and charged with murder. 

According to court documents, 29-year-old Justin Deshone Jackson was arrested early Monday, Aug. 6 in Lubbock after police responded to a domestic disturbance call. 

Lubbock police arrived at the Chapparal Apartments in the 5800 block of 24th St. shortly after midnight.  

Arriving officers found 35-year-old Shranda Carson in the kitchen of the apartment suffering from multiple stab wounds. 

Witnesses told law enforcement officers that Jackson and Carson had been arguing about him having a new girlfriend.  

She was transported to the hospital where she later was pronounced dead.

Jackson was arrested at his mother's house after his new girlfriend drove him there according to reports. 

Jackson's mother told investigators her son said he stabbed Carson and was afraid she was dead.  

Jackson was arrested and charged with murder.  He remains in the Lubbock County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
