3 in Critical Condition and 1 in Serious Condition After Home Explosion

 

UPDATE 2:20 p.m. — Sheriff Gary Painter said the family was airlifted to a burn center in Lubbock after the explosion, according to Midland Reporter-Telegram. The explosion occurred in the 15000 block of East CR 150, east of CR 1040.

Sheriff Painter said the cause of the fire appears to be a gas line that runs under the mobile home was leaking.

The mother and two young children were said to be in critical condition and the father is in serious condition.

MIDLAND, TX — First responders are on the scene of a house explosion in Midland County. Midland Fire Department is on scene and investigating the explosion.

According to Midland County Sheriff’s Office, the explosion occurred just after 10:00 a.m. Thursday near the area of South CR 1030. The location is in Stanton, according to News West 9.

Two adults and two children were in the home and have been badly burned from the explosion. The family has been taken to the hospital.

The home was completely destroyed by the explosion.
