Former West Texas Waterpark Sold and Plans to Reopen

 

MIDLAND, TX — What is now the remains of a water park in between Midland and Odessa is about to get a makeover. The site has been sold and plans were announced to reopen it as a water park.

The site of a former water park called Water Wonderland has been sitting vacant for about 11 years, according to Midland Reporter-Telegram.

John Herriage, the owner of Key Realty, confirmed the transaction and that the redevelopment will include an event center. Some of the existing structure will be used and renovated.

Wasn’t it wild river canyon? Water park? I remember that one it had a good long twisty slide flowed plenty of water others ugh sucked
