Bizarre Crash Ends With Pickup in the Concho River

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The driver of a Chevrolet S10 pickup narrowly escaped injury Friday evening after crashing into the Concho River at 14th Street. 

According to San Angelo Police Department Investigating officer Beckwith, the Chevy S10 pickup was westbound on 14th St. when another vehicle pulled out in front of him. 

The driver swerved to avoid a crash and went off the low water crossing bridge coming to rest in the Concho River 

Officials worked for hours to pull the vehicle out of the North Concho River at 14th Street.  

Reporters on the scene say no one was hurt and traffic returned to normal once they pulled the S10 out of the river.
