Boater's Leg Severed Near Shore in Horrific Accident at Lake Nasworthy

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- One person was reportedly seriously injured in a boating accident on Lake Nasworthy Wednesday evening. 

According to reporters at the scene, a person was taken from the boat and loaded into an ambulance with a possibly severed leg. 

According to Sgt. Barry Wike, the accident happened when they were pulling the boat into shore.  A male patient somehow got his leg up under the boat and into the propellor. 

Texas Parks and Wildlife Officers began using sonar to search for the severed leg.

The person was taken from the water in the Middle Concho Park area.
