SAN ANGELO, TX -- The average price for regular unleaded gasoline in San Angelo has increased over the last week just before the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend.

According to AAA, the average price per gallon for regular unleaded in San Angelo on Thursday was $2.71 with a low of $2.63 at Sam’s Club and a high of $2.79 at several locations including stations at 29th and N. Bryant, S. Bryant at Ben Ficklin and Glenna at the Loop.

“Texans are paying 58 cents more for a gallon of gas compared to Memorial Day weekend last year,” said Daniel Armbruster, AAA Texas spokesman. “Even with more expensive gas prices, automobile travel is expected to increase by nearly five percent this Memorial Day in Texas. AAA Texas reminds motorists that distracted driving is deadly.”

A cajun man was looking for work, so he went to his brother in-law who was the vice-president of a logging company and asked if he could get him hired on... The brother in-law went to the president of the company and was able to convince him to give the cajun man a job. This was extremely difficult for the president of the company because he never liked cajun's, but because of his deep respect for the vice-president, he decided to give it a shot.

Being a clever man, the president figured he could trick the cajun man into failing his interview question's. Upon meeting, the president gave the cajun man a piece of paper and a pencil and told him to write a mathmatical problem with the sum of 9... the catch was that he couldn't use actual numbers for the addition.

The cajun man pondered for a moment, then he carefully drew a small, christmas tree looking drawing, + another christmas tree drawing+ another tree drawing and finally the permitted =9.

The vice-president looked at the problem and said, can you explain this to me. The cajun man said simply, "them there is tree's, and tree+tree+tree=9"...

Startled the president of the company said, ok slick, do the same thing but give me the sum of 99. The cajun man slowly licked his finger and smudged each one of the "tree's" and added an extra 9 to the existing one on the paper.

The president was baffled again and asked for an explanation from the cajun man... He calmly said, "well now each one of them there tree's is dirty... and dirty tree+dirty tree+ dirty tree= 99".

The president was impressed and said, if you can do that same thing with a sum of 100, you're hired. Smiling, the cajun man drew something that resembled little hershey's kisses under each one of the "dirty trees" and erased the 99, entering the required 100 as requested.

Once again, the president asked the cajun man to explain himself and the cajun man said. "Well a little dawg come along and doo doo'd under each one of them "dirty tree's", so now you got, dirty tree and a turd+ dirty tree and a turd+ dirty tree and a turd= 100!"
