Man Shot and Wounded, Woman Assaulted in Apartments Near Southland

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police said they are investigating a shooting that was reported at around 5 a.m. Sunday morning at the Alamo Village Apartments, 4489 Green Valley Trail.

Police said a 25-year-old man was shot and wounded. Police also found a 27-year-old woman nearby who police said had been assaulted.

Both the man and woman were rushed to a nearby hospital and police reported Sunday afternoon that both are in stable condition.

Police said they have made no arrests but are still investigating the incident.

The Alamo Village Apartments are on the eastern edge of the middle class Southland neighborhood.

I thought 'class' was a definition mostly used in the UK. That being said, crime seems to happen a lot more in rental properties. I have never understood why renters seem to be either drug dealers or gang members. Lots of homes in my neighborhood are now rentals. When we moved in just a couple of years ago, it was quiet here with nice elderly neighbors. Now there are renters all around us with the manners of pigs. Cars parked on lawns, Hogs revving at all hours, parties every weekend. To say I am ticked off is mild...
