Chevy Crashes into Dodge in the Chicken District Sending One Driver to the Hospital

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police Department officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Knickerbocker Rd. and S. Jackson St. involving a white Dodge 1500 pickup and a 1999 blue Tahoe that sent one to the hospital.

According to SAPD Sgt. Cade Solsbery at the scene the Dodge was leaving Caine's parking lot and failed to yield right-of-way to the blue Tahoe which was southbound on Knickerbocker resulting in a collision on the roadway.

The driver of the Tahoe was sent to Shannon hospital for evaluation of minor injuries while the other driver sustained no injuries.

A warning was given to the driver of the Dodge for failure to yield the right-of-way.

How is the result of a collision on a public road end with a warning? That's a citation.
If it happened in the parking lot it's only a warning if that. SAPD cannot write a ticket in this case.
