TGCSO Seizes Drugs After Suspect Leads Them on Chase

 

SAN ANGELO, TX—(TGCSO) On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:43 p.m., Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Farmer initiated a traffic stop on a 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix for a traffic violation on Side View Road in Tom Green County.

The vehicle was being operated by John Robert Arispe.  As Deputy Farmer was verifying information on Arispe, he left the scene of the traffic stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. 

Arispe attempted to turn left onto FM 2105 from Side View Road and lost control of his vehicle and wrecked. 

Arispe was arrested without further incident and transported to the Tom Green County jail. 

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted where more than 280 grams of methamphetamine, a large sum of U. S. Currency and scales were located in the vehicle.

Arispe was booked into the Tom Green County Jail for Manufacturing and Delivery of a Control Substance, Evading Arrest and Detention, Possession and Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia and two local Tom Green County Warrants
