SAN ANGELO, TX-- Over the weekend, the New York Daily News published a feature on Maverick McIvor and the Central Bobcats.
The article chronicles the week leading up to Central's game against Byron Nelson, which they would win 36-10.
It also profiles how the junior quarterback is following in his dad Rick McIvor's footsteps. Rick was a quarterback for the University of Texas and spent some time in the pro ranks as well.
Maverick finished his junior campaign, his first season as Central's QB1, with 3,371 passing yards, a team leading 883 rushing yards, and 51 total touchdowns.

Calling this an article is an understatement. It's a short novel, and is beautifully written with incredible skill and rich imagery. You'll get a feel for what it is like to be a Bobcat varsity football player, what the camaraderie is like and you'll learn why Marerick McIvor is being featured in a newspaper from New York. I can't wait for next fall at Bobcat Stadium.
