SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police revealed that detectives with their Crimes Against Children Unit are actively investigating claims of possession of child pornography by Ringo V. Garza, 35, of San Angelo.
Ringo is the drummer for the nationally famous Los Lonely Boys rock group whose members are from, and live here in, San Angelo.
The investigation was opened in July 2017 after San Angelo Police received a report of child abuse concerning a 13-year-old female victim, police said.
Back in July, Investigators applied for and were granted a search warrant for a residence in the 6000 block of Ranch Lane in San Angelo, as the residence was said to be the suspected place and premises where Investigators could locate evidence of child pornography.
On July 24, San Angelo police’s Crimes Against Children Unit along with United States Homeland Security executed a search warrant. During the search, Investigators located and seized multiple electronic devices.
News of the existence of the search warrant was reported Friday, over three months after the warrant was issued, by KIDY’s Senora Scott in a TV news piece that was distributed throughout Tegna-owned television news outlets across the state.
Since the seizure of multiple electronic devices in July, no charges have been filed and no arrests made.
San Angelo police state the Garza matter continues to be an ongoing investigation.

PermalinkFunny how the KIDY website changed their original post , using "** " as the victims initials to just "Victim" ** are the initials [that clearly identify the victim].

PermalinkWe are all innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Somethings fishy here, 3 months and no charges? Sounds like someone’s fishing for a crime but can’t find one.
