SAN ANGELO, TX — The recently installed traffic signal on Sherwood Way in front of the new H-E-B will begin flashing yellow to drivers on Tuesday, September 12. This is in advance of the signal becoming fully functional approximately 10 days later. The flashing yellow will give motorists time to become accustomed to the new signal. People exiting from the Walmart/Lowe’s parking lot will see a flashing red. Please observe this as a stop condition before turning onto Sherwood Way.
The $3.9 million dollar Sherwood Way upgrades are almost finished. The project, which began last fall, has included the completion of concrete islands, turn lanes and the new signal. Additional work includes repaving in this area.
