SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo mother of four is challenging State Representative Drew Darby (R) San Angelo for the District 72 seat in the Texas House of Representatives.
Lynette Lucas has lived in San Angelo for 11 years and says she has her children’s future in mind when she decided to run for office, “I have four boys in their 20’s and they are struggling with careers and jobs.”
Lucas says taxes are too high and regulations too burdensome, “I am not happy about property taxes going up and the way our representative is voting in Austin.”
Lucas’ campaign flyer says, “As your Representative, I will secure our border and ensure enforcement of existing laws, push to stop our ever increasing property tax burden, expand gun rights with Constitutional carry, be a consistent, committed, Pro-life advocate, and keep men out of women’s private facilities in government buildings.”
Lucas says she will be block walking soon and is open to participating in events anywhere in the district.
House District 72 includes Coke, Concho, Glasscock, Howard, Irion, Reagan, Runnels, Sterling and Tom Green Counties.
Lucas has a website, www.lynettelucas.com, on facebook or by phone at 325-227-9639.
