Cockfighting is illegal for a reason, for the various crimes that result against the animals and participants as well.In S.Fla,(my hometown) my boss and I were plant shopping for a customer and were given directions to a place that may have hanging asked. We went to where we thought it was,and down a mile long curvy winding packed with huge solid potholes of a dirt road.We came to a large place like a chicken barn farm and we're greeted by two Spanish men pointing shotguns at us and demanding to know why we were there. We told them "to buy some plants"! "No plants here, you go"! So we didn't waste any time bopping back down that road of holes -quickly! It was a cock fighting pavilion, we later surmised, and the condition of the road was intended to slow down the police vehicles long enough to alert them to a raid and get away...Scary time.
