Driver Attempts To Exit Koenigheim by Crossing Three Lanes

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Early this morning, a few lanes on Koenigheim headed northbound were closed down by the San Angelo Police Department due to a traffic accident near the intersection of Koenigheim and First Street.

According to an on-scene police officer, a Chevy Malibu was driving northbound on the right hand lane on Koenigheim when the driver attempted to make a left hand turn onto First Street by crossing three central lanes. A truck pulling a trailer driving in the second lane from the left, did not have enough time to stop and collided with the Malibu.

The driver of the Chevy was given a citation for unsafe driving.  No injuries were reported on the scene.

I drove past this right after it happened and guess what.... The driver of this Gray Malibu was no less than about 85 years old. His inability to think, understand the rules of the road and operate with due care and caution caused some poor working man's truck to become destroyed and causing him to lose income, thanks to this old coot thinking he should be out on the roads driving around. I wish since the State is not going to suspend driving privileges to everyone on their 70th birthday, then there needs to be a law passed that would allow a mandatory jail sentence be imposed on anyone over the age of 70 who causes damages to someone else's property, injures or maims another person due to a careless driving maneuvers on their part. This might force them to seek assistance from a family member to take them safely somewhere or rely on public transportation to get them somewhere.

No, the old farts just can't drive PERIOD !!!!! Go find a parking place down by Shannon Clinic any morning and bring some snacks and a large cup of coffee.... I promise you will be entertained the whole time you're parked there. It is almost comical at the stupid stunts or just the complete vapor locking they do if they become confused about something while trying to pull into the clinic or find a parking spot.......

First of all that is my father and he is not 85 hell he is not even 70.yes he made a decision that caused an accident and yes he feels very bad.we are all glad nobody was injured.this is not the first time that my family has been judged due to an accident and before you have something else rude to say that accident resulted in the death of my husband and father of my kids and no ot was not his fault.you have no right to make assumptions about somebody and it truely shows your true character.i hope that you or your family members are never involved in an accident that causes someone to judge you the way you have judged

Ding-Bat named him/herself quite appropriately. He/she is an idiot. Give this creature no more attention, since none is deserved.

I challenged Dr. ding bat to answer me two weeks ago and meet me at church this morning. He/she never responded. Guess they were to chicken to run there mouth in a public place.
