this kid is a complete idiot. he was asking to be slammed to the ground. but he didn't deserve to get punched in the face repeatedly. way to protect and serve. since he's on leave i would've tracked him down and given him a good old off-duty butt whipping (with my concealed license in effect because we already know he's dirty).

Two wrongs don't make a right. The kid resisted and was taken down, no problem there. The beat down was nothing more than aggravated assault. There were more than enough officers standing around to subdue the kid. I spent a career in Law Enforcement beginning in the mid 70s, if you called for back-up you had better be getting your ass kicked. Now days half a dozen officers converge on traffic stops which causes a mob mentality among them. The militarization of police forces has led to the increase in police brutality cases. A lot of these guys think the rules that applied in Middle East apply here in the U.S. There should be a mandatory cool down/observation period before Police Departments can hire a Vet returning from combat.

Let me start by saying the cop was out of line for hitting this kid, that should have never happened!! This officer let the situation dictate his reaction. However...maybe if this young man had some RESPECT for authority, it wouldn't have escalated the way it did!! The society we live in has labeled law enforcement officers as the bad guy...that is until YOU need them. Bottom line...these men and women put their lives on the line everyday doing a job that you and I don't have the guts to do. If YOU don't like the way things are done with your local/state/ federal law enforcement agency...they are ALL hiring! Put your career where your mouth is and do something about it. Otherwise sit back and back the BLUE! This officer WILL have to answer for his actions...

This snowflake was trying to cover up the fact they had booze in the car (and maybe more.) However, around 23:35 the officer says he took the suspect down and started punching him because the officer was punched in the chest. Nowhere did I see that unless it was after they'd gone to the ground, but that's not what the officer indicated.

"That's because you punched me first you idiot. Don't you remember, you punched me in the chest?"

This could have been...should have been...handled differently by all parties.

AJ, I haven't lost any rights during my 60 years on earth. I can carry a weapon, I can post my political and personal thoughts on here and any other site I wish. I can vote for who I wish, I could run for office if I wish. Name ONE ACTUAL right you have lost. You say you deliver the know how, what you truly deliver is nothing but garbage. You like to think that you are more intelligent than anyone else, truth is you're nuts and really need to get some help. The Dollar Store brand of tin foil isn't working for you, invest in some Reynolds Wrap.

Damn, wipe the spit off of your computer screen! One thing I learned during my career in law enforcement, arguing with a teenager, drunk, or nutcase is a waste of time. You are a nutcase, plain and simple. There no need to try and debate with you any further.

From George Bernard Shaw: "I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."

Chill.
