SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo Medics rushed a man who fell out of the back of a truck with a mattress in the 4100 block of Loop 306, by the mall and Lowe's Home Improvement, to Shannon Medical Center this afternoon.
A San Angelo Police officer at the scene said the man was traveling in the back of a truck, holding down some mattresses. When the truck came around a corner, the wind picked up and flung him and one of the mattresses out of the vehicle.
"He's got injuries right now. I don't know what the extent [of the injuries] are," said the officer.
He added that he doesn't believe the injuries are life threatening, but the man is currently being treated at Shannon Medical Center.
No other information is available at this time. SAPD urges drivers to please avoid the area while crews clear the road.
