San Angelo Firefighters battled another blaze this afternoon after Chandler's Bar & Grill, located at 421 S. Chadbourne, caught fire.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the restaurant. Black smoke filled the area, and sifted out of the roof.
Luckily, no one was in the building. Firefighters had to break the windows, however, to get inside.
"We have trapped smoke in interstitial spaces up between the false ceiling and the actual roof of the building," said an official at the scene. "We're clearing it out at this time. So far, we have no injuries at this time."
Currently, the fire is out, and firefighters are in overhaul phase. The fire appears to have started at the buffet.
The official said 19 firefighters, three chief officers, and a safety officer were on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation

PermalinkI applaud the father who knows hat his child needs to know that there are consequences when
misdeeds occur. I brief explanations followed by a few solid raps on the backside will ensure that most children will grow up to be a more well rounded citizen. Real beatings should never occur or be tolerated. Fear, healthy fear, is a factor which keeps us on the straight and narrow. This applies to politicians as well
