Baseball-Sized Hail and Wind Gusts Up To 70 mph Today

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo office of the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Already there are reports of a tornado touching down near Sterling City as the severe line of storms approaches the Concho Valley. 

The NWS cites a cold front that will be blowing in from the west. The line of the cold front and storms stretch from Reagan County up to Robert Lee. The tornado watch ended at 4:45 p.m. today.

The severe thunderstorm watch remains into effect until 10 p.m. for the San Angelo region. Watch the storm chasers on a live stream:

Update 5:15 p.m. - Another severe thunderstorm warning issued by San Angelo NWS for a large area north of Big Lake in Reagan County along SH 163 until 10 p.m.
