Levelland Man Identified as Victim in Abilene Train Death

 

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department has identified the man hit by a train in Abilene on Tuesday as Timothy Delgado, 37, of Levelland.

Delgado was wearing headphones or earbuds, according to police, and he appeared to have been unaware of the oncoming train.

Delgado died at the scene from his injuries.

The man was struck at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday while walking along the railroad tracks near the Shelton Street crossover.

The train was stopped and blocked several crossovers while investigators worked the scene.
