San Angelo Woman Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child

SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo woman has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child multiple times.

Emily Poage, 35, of San Angelo, was charged with sexual assault of a child after the victim stated they were assaulted at least three times, according to court documents.

The first assault took place as they were watching a movie when Poage began undressing the victim. The victim claims they “froze” while the assault occurred. The other assaults both took place in Poage’s residence as well.

Poage allegedly threatened to tell the victim’s parents, saying “You’re going to do this, or I am going to tell your parents you’ve been sneaking over here.” Then, she told the victim, “This is gonna be some fun."

Poage was arrested on March 7, 2025, and is currently an inmate in the Tom Green County Jail being held on $150,000 bond.
