17-Year-Old Arrested After Fatal Shooting in Coleman

 

COLEMAN, TX — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday night in Coleman, leading to the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect, authorities stated in a news release.

According to information, officers with the Coleman Police Department and Coleman County Sheriff’s Department responded to multiple reports of gunshots around 9:15 p.m. in the 400 block of East 10th Street. They arrived to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a residence. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police arrested a 17-year-old man at the residence. He was booked into the Coleman County Jail on a murder charge, with bond set at $300,000.

The Texas Rangers have taken over the investigation, with local law enforcement agencies assisting.
