San Angelo Community Rallies Behind Local Mother Battling Stage 4 Cancer

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo mother is facing the toughest battle of her life, and her family and friends are calling on the community for support.

Kristel Curry, a wife, mother, and beloved friend, has been diagnosed with metastatic pleomorphic sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that has progressed to stage 4.

After enduring radiation treatment and major surgery, Curry and her loved ones remained hopeful that she was on the road to recovery. However, recent scans revealed that the cancer had spread to her lungs, requiring her to undergo "aggressive chemotherapy."

As she focuses on her health, those close to her are working to ease the financial burden that comes with ongoing treatments.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist Curry and her family during this difficult time.

"Please know any amount is a blessing and her family is forever grateful for your prayers and generosity," information from the GoFundMe stated.
