United Way of the Concho Valley Celebrates 100 Years

SAN ANGELO, TX — United Way of the Concho Valley is celebrating its centennial year, marking 100 years of service and community impact in the San Angelo area.

Since its founding in 1925, the organization has worked to improve lives across the region by addressing critical needs in education, health and financial stability.

The year-long celebration kicked off Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting event hosted with the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, unveiling the "Ewe-nited" Way sheep and a mural created by local artist Ashley Perales.

This marks the beginning of a series of initiatives, events, and partnerships designed to reflect on the organization’s history while setting its sights on the future.

“Our centennial year is not just a time to reflect on the incredible work accomplished over the past 100 years but also a moment to look forward,” said Ashley Ammons, President and CEO of United Way of the Concho Valley. “We are incredibly excited to celebrate this remarkable milestone that honors 100 years of community impact, collaboration, and transformative change.”

United Way of the Concho Valley has played an important role in mobilizing the region’s community to provide essential services, raise funds, and create opportunities for those in need. The organization relies on the generous support of donors, volunteers, and partners to make a difference and tackle the region's most pressing challenges.
