Concho Valley to be Represented by 11 Schools at UIL Spirit State Championships

 

FORT WORTH, TX — Eleven schools from around the Concho Valley will compete Thursday-Saturday at the UIL Spirit State Championships in Fort Worth.

San Angelo Central will compete in Class 6A Division I, while San Angelo TLCA will be in 3A D-I, and Wall and Brady will be in 3A D-II.

In 2A, we’ll have Christoval, Ballinger, Sonora, Reagan County, Mason, Coleman and Winters.

San Angelo Central has had considerable success in cheerleading in previous years, including a runner-up finish at the 2020 UIL Spirit State Championships.

The Lady Cats are a four-time UIL fight song state champ, and they’ve won six national titles with the National Cheerleaders Association.

Last year, Central finished in sixth place in the team standings. Other area schools included Sonora in 9th, Christoval in 12th and Ballinger in 20th.
