Dog Survives Gunshot, Needs Help to Recover

SAN ANGELO, TX – Concho Valley PAWS is seeking donations for a severely injured stray dog, Pippa, who was found after being shot in the face, according to Concho Valley PAWS.

Despite her injuries, staff at the animal rescue noted that Pippa is "sweet" and "well-tempered."

A veterinarian determined the bullet entered through her mouth and exited her chest, narrowly missing vital organs. Pippa is receiving treatment at Southside Hospital under sedation and is expected to make a full recovery. Her medical expenses have already exceeded $1,300.
