SAN ANGELO, TX — Temperatures dipped to the mid-20s across parts of West Texas Wednesday morning, marking one of the season’s coldest starts.
By the afternoon, sunny skies are expected to bring a welcome warm-up, with highs nearing 60 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, areas around San Angelo observed early morning temperatures as low as 25°F, with similar readings in surrounding cities. However, a rise in temperatures is forecast, with most areas surpassing freezing by mid-morning.
Looking ahead, mild and dry conditions are expected to dominate through the weekend. Highs will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s across the region, with no significant chance of precipitation until Monday, when a slight chance of rain is forecast, particularly in the Heartland.
