Lake View Chiefs Honored on All-District Football Team

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Lake View junior Izaiah Rios earned first-team all-district honors at three different positions to highlight the Chiefs’ showing on the All-District 3-4A Division I Football Team.

Rios was selected as a running back, kicker and punter.

Lake View sophomore quarterback Chris Alvizo was named co-Offensive Newcomer of the Year, while sophomore defensive lineman Conner Williams was named co-Defensive Newcomer of the Year. 

Junior Sabastian Heredia was named co-Offensive Lineman of the Year, while senior Damien Luna was named co-Defensive Lineman of the Year.

First-team selections for Lake View included junior wide receiver Braylon White, junior defensive lineman Rauly Roman, junior linebacker Isaac Monreal, and senior defensive back Francisco Ramirez.

Second-team picks for Lake View were senior running back Sammy Ramirez, wide receivers Francisco Ramirez and junior Cristian Esparza, junior offensive line Misael Rodelo, defensive line Roman, senior defensive end Adrien James, senior linebacker Diego Paez, and defensive backs Esparza and junior Roman Garcia.

Juniors Kentrell Johnson and Nick Leyva were named utility/special teams players.

Earning honorable mention for Lake View were seniors Ruben Salgado and CJ Coombs, juniors DJ Munoz, Abram Rivera, RJ Ruiz, Ty Skelton and Jay Roman, and sophomores Chris Rodela and Calvin Whitfield.

Andrews junior running back Jaesean DeBouse was named district MVP after leading the Mustangs to a district title. Andrews senior linebacker Daylon Jefcoats was named Defensive MVP, and Mustangs coach Tom Harvey was named Coach of the Year.

Pecos junior wide receiver Jesus Navarro was named Offensive MVP.
