Freeze Watch in Effect Across West Central Texas Starting Tonight

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Freeze Watch is in effect for all of West Central Texas, beginning midnight tonight and lasting through 9 a.m. Friday.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid to upper 20s in rural and low-lying areas, while urban and hilltop locations may see lows in the low to mid-30s.

Residents are advised to protect sensitive vegetation, cover outdoor pipes, and ensure pets have proper shelter as the region braces for a widespread freeze.

Thanksgiving Day is shaping up to be much cooler, with afternoon highs in San Angelo and surrounding areas expected to range from 50 to 57 degrees. Breezy north-northeast winds will ease by the afternoon, and partly sunny skies will dominate the day.

The weekend forecast remains calm but cool. Highs on Friday will hover in the upper 50s, while a gradual warm-up on Saturday could bring temperatures into the mid-60s.

A weak cold front is predicted to move through Saturday night, bringing slightly cooler weather on Sunday, though skies are expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the weekend.
