Here’s Your Thanksgiving Week Forecast

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A strong cold front sweeping through the area Monday will bring cooler temperatures and gusty north winds, with highs expected to range from the mid-50s in the Big Country to the low 70s south of Interstate 10.

The National Weather Service reports that winds will be between 15 and 25 mph, making for a blustery start to the Thanksgiving week.

Overnight, temperatures will drop into the mid-30s across the region, with some low-lying areas dipping into the lower 30s. Winds are expected to decrease, bringing mostly clear to partly cloudy skies as high pressure settles in.

Thanksgiving week will see fluctuating conditions. Warmer-than-normal highs in the upper 70s to low 80s are forecast for Wednesday, ahead of another cold front expected to arrive that night. Thanksgiving Day will bring cooler conditions, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s. By Friday morning, temperatures could dip below freezing, with frost or a light freeze possible in many areas.

No precipitation is expected through Friday, making for clear skies during the holiday period. Residents are advised to prepare for the colder conditions later in the week, particularly for outdoor activities on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.
