West Texas Horse Show in San Angelo to Benefit 4-H Club

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The West Texas Horse Show, a performance and speed horse event, is set to kick off on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Angelo State University’s Rodeo Arena, 70 E. 43rd Street. 

Riders can participate in a range of categories, with both performance and speed events planned for the day. Qualifying events include Halter, Ranch Showmanship, and various speed classes like barrels, poles, and goat tying. Awards will be presented in each age division, from Leadline to Adult.

Registration opens at 8 a.m., with competitions beginning at 9 a.m. Entry fees are set at $15 for office fees, $5 per event, and $5 per speed exhibition, with a limit of three-speed events per rider.

A community service discount is available for those who bring donations to Rust Street Ministries. November donations focus on non-perishable food items, while December donations seek socks and underwear.
