San Angelo Police Chief to Arrive as Santa on a Train at Railway Museum Event

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Railway Museum of San Angelo will host its annual “Santa’s Santa Fe Christmas” on December 14, with San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith taking on the role of Santa Claus.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offers a festive day of family-friendly activities, including a special “Art on Track” exhibit showcasing local artists’ work related to the railway.

Chadbourne St. aboard a Texas Pacifico train at 10 a.m. The museum’s new Art on Track exhibit will run from November 23 to December 22, featuring artwork focused on the railway depot and trains. Local artists have been invited to submit their pieces, with the final collection to include paintings, photographs, and other forms.

Event highlights include photo opportunities with Santa and the Grinch, live music by Central High School Texanns and other local groups, food trucks, holiday crafts, a $5 train ride for children, and tours of static train displays. Museum admission is free.
