SAPD Make Arrest and Recover Stolen Property from Residential Burglary

San Angelo Police officers arrested a 35-year-old man in connection to a residential burglary that occurred yesterday afternoon, said Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer.

At around 12:40 p.m. yesterday, Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Milton Street for a burglary in process. When they arrived, a witness provided the officers with a description of the suspect and photographs of his vehicle and license plate taken with the witness’ smart phone.

With witness information, officers identified the suspect’s vehicle, an orange 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, and located it at a residence in the 3000 block of Odell. The suspect, Isaac Jon Deanda, 35, of San Angelo was located a short time later in the 1900 block of Ricks Drive and taken into custody without incident for outstanding warrants. Officers transported him to Police Headquarters for an interview.

Based on the evidence collected at the scene by Crime Scene Technicians and information obtained in the interview, Gonzalez said Deanda was charged with Burglary of a Habitation and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.

Additionally, SAPD recovered two television sets and a handgun from a storage building located at the residence on Odell. At this time, this investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed, Gonzalez stated.
