Sheriff: Downtown Foot Pursuit After Suspects Abandon Stolen Vehicle from Cleburne

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Law enforcement was active near the intersection of N Abe Street and W Harris Avenue this morning, as a foot pursuit unfolded in a downtown law office parking lot.

Authorities, including San Angelo Police and the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m.

Sheriff Nick Hanna confirmed the commotion stemmed from a “foot pursuit of folks who were in a stolen car from Cleburne.” He assured the public that there is no threat to the area at this time.

Our reporter on the scene observed law enforcement officers, some in unmarked vehicles, searching through personal belongings inside a vehicle parked at the lot located near 12 N Abe Street. 

No further details were available regarding the suspects’ identities or potential charges. The Sheriff said to expect more information soon.
