Brookshire Grocery Co. to Acquire Shoppin’ Baskit Stores in West Texas

 

TYLER, TX – Brookshire Grocery Co. announced it will acquire four Shoppin’ Baskit locations in Ranger, Coleman, Ballinger, and De Leon, Texas.

The stores will undergo a brief closure starting the week of Dec. 1 as they transition to BGC’s Spring Market brand.

Upon reopening within a few days, each store will offer expanded features and upgraded customer service, according to Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO of BGC. The remodel is expected to introduce new amenities and product options in line with BGC’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Ballinger location will include a partnership with ACE Hardware.

BGC, a family-owned business with more than 17,000 employees, operates over 210 stores under the Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, Spring Market, FRESH by Brookshire’s, and Reasor’s brands across four states.
