SAN ANGELO, TX – Residents across West Central Texas can expect much cooler temperatures today, with highs forecasted to be around 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.
The National Weather Service predicts highs ranging from the upper 60s to the low 70s in most areas, including 72°F in San Angelo and Menard.
Gusty northeast winds are expected this morning, which will shift to the east and decrease by the afternoon. Skies will remain mostly sunny throughout the day.
Tonight, temperatures will drop further, with lows in the 40s across the region. San Angelo is expected to reach a low of 44°F, while areas such as Sterling City and Brady will experience lows between 42°F and 47°F. Clear skies and light southeast winds will accompany the cooler conditions overnight.
The cooler trend will continue through the weekend, with temperatures climbing back to the upper 70s and low 80s by Sunday. By the start of next week, highs could approach the upper 80s to near 90°F. Low rain chances are expected to return on Friday.
