San Angelo Police Issue Scam Alert

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo police are warning residents of an ongoing scam involving calls, texts, or emails from individuals falsely claiming to be from the police department.

The scammers are asking for money or payments to clear charges or avoid arrest.

In a recent public statement, police stressed that they will never request payments in the form of money, gift cards, or wire transfers. 

Residents are advised not to send money or share personal information with anyone claiming to be from the police.
