SAN ANGELO, TX — Two Central High School students were stabbed Tuesday at the McDonald’s at 520 N. Bryant Blvd.
A 17-year-old is in serious condition, while a 16-year-old is considered stable, according to the San Angelo Police Department.
A 16-year-old suspect was taken into police custody at about 3:30 p.m.
The incident is believed to have started as a fight, according to police.
Our reporter saw one of the victims being carried out of McDonald's on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
Crime scene tape was then posted around the building as police began investigating.
"In response to criminal activity at the McDonald's located near Central High School, San Angelo ISD took precautionary measures by briefly placing the campus on a hold," a statement from San Angelo ISD read. "The hold was lifted shortly after. The San Angelo Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident."
