San Angelo Native's Baby Up for "Baby of the Year"

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— A former San Angelo Central Bobcat has a baby up for “Baby of the Year”.

San Angelo native and former Central Bobcat Colton Freeman is now married and has two children. Freeman’s son, Cohen, is actually up for “Baby of the Year” and the winner of the competition will be featured in Good Housekeeping. Also, the winner will receive $25,000.

The Freeman’s could use the money as they have racked up some medical bills, $15,000 worth to be exact, as Cohen was in the PICU with RSV, or Respiratory Syncytial Virus, for seven days and was intubated and on a ventilator.

The competition goes through rounds and Cohen has made it to the finals and is actually in second place at the moment.

The money raised through voting goes to a non-profit that helps infants and babies who live in poverty to receive diapers and other essential items. The first vote is free.

Colton Freeman has been written about on San Angelo LIVE! and, after being an All-State center for the Bobcats, is currently an offensive line coach and offensive coordinator for Pasadena Memorial High School according to his Facebook.
