SAN ANGELO, TX — The Ballinger Bearcats could get used to this.
After a winless season last year, the Bearcats are still undefeated through three weeks this season, capped by Friday's 61-6 romp over San Angelo TLCA at Lake View Stadium.
Once again, Ballinger's defense was outstanding. The Bearcats have allowed a combined 16 points in three games.
The offense ran wild with 404 yards on the ground, led by quarterback Cade Strube with six carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns.
Aiden Pena had his third straight 100-yard game with 18 carries for 117 yards and two TDs.
Braden Belk had 11 carries for 79 yards and three TDs.
Strube was also 6-of-9 passing for 76 yards and a TD. Kyson Weathers was 3-of-4 passing for 90 yards and a TD.
Hunter Kresta had four catches for 96 yards and a TD to lead the Bearcats' receiving corps. Bryce Lopez also had a TD catch.
Ballinger (3-0) will host Brady next week in what has been an entertaining matchup in recent years.
TLCA (0-3) will play at Hyde Park Baptist.
