Amarillo Resident Wins $1 Million Mega Millions Prize

AMARILLO, TX – An Amarillo resident claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize from the July 30 drawing, according to the Texas Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Toot’n Totum 3, located at 5409 E. Amarillo Blvd. The individual has chosen to remain anonymous.

The Quick Pick ticket matched all five white ball numbers (19-23-30-33-50) but missed the Mega Ball number (25). The claimant also won an additional $2 on the same ticket.

Mega Millions is played by selecting five numbers from a field of 70 and one Mega Ball number from a pool of 25. To win the jackpot, players must match all six numbers. However, players can still win smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The game offers a second-tier prize of $1 million for matching five numbers without the Mega Ball.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:12 p.m. Central Time.
