Woman Critically Injured in Brady Shooting; Suspect in Custody

 

BRADY, TX – A female victim was critically injured in a shooting on the 200 block of East Lockhart, according to the Brady Police Department.

It happened on August 20, 2024, at around 9:50 p.m. when emergency responders, including Brady EMS/Fire and police officers, arrived at the scene and found the woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.

She was transported to Shannon Hospital, where she is receiving critical medical care.

A male suspect has been apprehended and is currently detained at the McCulloch County Jail, with charges pending. The Brady Police Department, in collaboration with the Texas Rangers, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
