Plateau Brewing Company to Host Event for Teachers

SAN ANGELO, TX — Plateau Brewing Company is hosting the "Last Fling Before the Bell Rings," a community event dedicated to Concho Valley teachers and educators.

The event begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Plateau Brewing Company, located downtown at 214 S. Chadbourne St.

As part of the celebration, Plateau Brewing Co. is collecting dozens of Concho Valley teachers' classroom Amazon wish lists, which will be posted around the Taproom with QR codes. Attendees are encouraged to scan the codes and help clear items off the lists, providing much-needed teaching supplies for the upcoming school year.

Additionally, teachers and school staff will receive a 10% discount on all drinks when they present their school IDs.

The event will feature live music starting at 7 p.m. from San Angelo's own Manny Campos.

“Our brewery was founded on the idea that community is everything. Teachers represent the best of us and the future of San Angelo,” said Michael Choate, co-founder of Plateau Brewing Company. “We want to make sure that our educators have everything they need heading into the new school year.”

Area teachers who wish to have their classroom wish lists included should submit them by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, using the following link: tinyurl.com/PBClovesteachers.

RSVP for the event on Plateau Brewing Company's Facebook event page.
